Role:

Our Service Manager position is an excellent opportunity for a well organized technical plumbing professional who likes to work in fast paced environments. You are a resource to the technicians under your supervision, a leader (by example), and able to lead jobs or run a piece of equipment to someone if necessary.

Responsibilities:

Team Management
  • Assigning tasks, scheduling work orders, and ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Providing guidance, support, and feedback to team members to help them perform their duties effectively.
Customer Service
  • Interacting with clients to understand their plumbing needs and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Ensuring that service calls are handled promptly, professionally, and to the satisfaction of the customer.
  • Resolving customer complaints and striving to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Project Management
  • Overseeing plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Managing resources, materials, and equipment effectively to optimize project outcomes.
Compliance and Safety
  • Ensuring that all plumbing work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Staying updated on changes to plumbing codes and regulations and ensuring that team members are trained accordingly.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to minimize risks of accidents and injuries on the job.
Quality Control
  • Monitoring the quality of plumbing work performed by the team to ensure that it meets or exceeds established standards.
  • Conducting inspections and quality assurance checks to identify and address any deficiencies or areas for improvement.
  • Implementing quality control measures to uphold the reputation and credibility of the plumbing company.
Budgeting and Financial Management
  • Developing and managing budgets for plumbing projects, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitoring expenses, tracking costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements.
  • Generating accurate estimates and quotes for plumbing services and ensuring that billing and invoicing processes are handled promptly and accurately.
Business Development
  • Identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion, such as new markets, services, or partnerships.
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to support long-term business success.

Requirements:

  • Strong track record of people management, (technicians and clients)
  • Analytical skills

  • Ability to build relationships with technicians
  • Great client services capabilities to communicate between company and client

Compensation:

  • $25-35/hr
  • 40 hour minimum per week
